Steve Munro is an experienced Cinematographer, Photographer, Camera Operator and internationally accredited Underwater & Marine Camera Operator. He has an impressive list of local & international credits spanning most genres, including feature films, short films, commercials, documentary, television (including reality, observational factual, current affairs and studio multi-cam), theatrical projection, live coverage and underwater cinematography. Steve is a full member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and is the Secretary for the NSW branch, holds professional accreditation and voting rights with the Australian Film Institute (AFI/AACTA) for which he is a 2011 AFI awards juror, and is accredited by the health and safety executive (H.S.E. UK) as a commercial media diver. He is based in Sydney, will travel throughout Australia, and has full working rights for Europe. After spending many years filming people, he now wishes to extend his still image portraiture skills as a compliment to his natural history photography. His primary reason for joining MM is to work with professional and semi-professional creative models; in particular, to broaden his ideas on negative space within the image and to extend his underwater photography.

** For those that need it I will work for a trade: for each assignment you need to increase your book, I'd like a return assignment for a stock photography shoot. I will never ask you to do nude/fetish/erotic shoots; you are, however, free to request them. I will also never ask you to do something you feel uncomfortable with. If we work together you are welcome to bring others with you but if they get in the way of the shoot they'll be asked to leave (this includes looking over my shoulder). I regard professionalism and integrity as high as I do creativity. For this reason, I believe it's a good idea to meet before the shoot so that we know who we're working with come the day.

***As mentioned before I'm particularly interested in underwater work. I have a commercial (media) diver's licence from the UK (this means I can legally work, worldwide, as an underwater camera operator/cinematographer) and I am also a PADI rescue diver. I also have full underwater gear and I'm willing to travel worldwide with it.
