When I worked on Guam I was fascinated by the beautiful scenery and beautiful women. At that time I had no creative outlet in my live, just work and sports. Most of my friends had nice cameras and took a lot of photos. I probably caught the bug from them. After saving my dimes and nickels, I bought a Minolta 202 with extra lenses and lighting equipment. To hone my skill, I took a correspondence course in photography and started shooting at a local model studio for practice. After a few months I was offered paid jobs so began my career as a freelance photographer. I’ve been out of photography now for a long time but recently caught the bug again. Now I have to start over and learn digital photography. I prefer working with people and I’m always looking for something unique that helps define their personality. I appreciate being able to look at the work of other photographers on this site and share ideas as I try to reestablish who I am as a photographer.
