I'm in the process of turning my hobby into a business. Why do something you hate when you can make money doing something you love? I love challenging my self in every shoot. Sometimes that means working with a random person I've never met, trying a new technique. Right now I am doing most of my shoots for free except senor pics and weddings, although I am still considerably less expensive than most other professional photographers. I am self taught through extensive reading about photography and free online lessons. I would like to do some off-the-wall shoots so if you have any odd ideas I'd love to hear them.
