Hairstyling/Cosmetology is a field that I have been practicing in for a few years now. It has not been something I have planned to do for a career, more of a hobby on the side, however, if I am able to make money doing something I enjoy I will not complain. I started out doing my sister's hair when my parents weren't around, or if they couldn't afford to pay some stylist hundreds of dollars for an up-do or a perm for a school dance or play. After a while, her friends, and their friends, and my friends all began to come to me for a styling/cut/color/extensions, you name it. It became a money maker for me for a few years and really helped me out. I am on this site simply to view different techniques that other hairstylists are using, and for simple critique on things that I have done, so that I may better myself in the future. I am also in the area and am willing to do free work with models and local photographers just to help me get a bit of exposure in this work.
