My background is in traditional graphic design. I've always taken pictures but never moved forward as far as taking it to another level until the beginning of 2012. I have always shot film using old 35mm cameras from the late 60's early to mid 70's..just my preference. My first digital camera was purchased 5 months ago and since I have been using more and more even though I am still loyal to my film. I am self taught, sort of, but my design background has really helped me as far as being behind the camera goes. It just so happens I am able to apply everything I've learned as a designer to photography so it really worked out well for me.

I like to take candids and shoot street photography. I have played around with macro and flowers, but my love is shooting people. I have worked for some studios taking school portraits here and there but nothing more than a seasonal job. I joined this site because I want to start exploring portraits. My photos consist of street candids and the such, but I want to start building a portfolio that will showcase what I can do as far as portraits.

I am building a home studio, nothing fancy..but you would be amazed at what good lighting can do for your portrait pictures. I am just looking for a few people to model for me in exchange for the prints and maybe to develop a professional relationship where we might be able to work again in the future with some sort of compensation to show for it.
