About Me

Began photography in Germany in the '50's as a high school nerd wearing a SLR 35mm Agfa that my dad won playing bingo at the Officer's Club Bingo "Gala." Traveled all about Europe for three years shooting all kinds of historical treasures and quite a few "hysterical" subjects as well. Brought back a few thousand prints and slides of my best stuff only to lose it all in a house fire about eight years later. At the time of the fire I had graduated to semi-pro status and hoped to eventually become a recognized pro. I was in college and renting a summer house on a nice private lake to stay out of the fray of campus living and at the lake I had a plethora of marvelous locations to shoot outdoors, plus the house was grand and well furnished to accommodate indoor sessions. Most of my models came by way of campus contacts and I did a lot of special shoots for college staff, professors and their families, but another interest was in nature, landscapes and some macro art studies.

Taking far too much risk as people of my age then were prone to do, I had no insurance and my equipment; all cameras and lenses except the one I had in my car, all my darkroom and studio furnishings, accessories and costumes, work in progress, etc. were completely destroyed by fire when the furnace exploded in the middle of the night. My dreams faded immediately -- should I say "crashed and burned" -- but I have longed to rejoin the world of misunderstood artists who love the camera, and how it can accentuate beauty, diminish imperfections, and preserve images of beautiful people, and memorable things and capture cherished moments that our minds are incapable of properly archiving.

Losing both of my parents recently, one at 91 and the other 89 years of age, and no longer having them to care for, I have spent the past several months refurbishing and refurnishing space for a small studio, while also sampling and purchasing new equipment, props, etc. and a few great cameras.

Ii is my objective to create images that are interesting and memorable and to be pleased with my results while respecting the model and rewarding her with a good experience that will enhance her career. My goal is to capture some things unique to each model and to display her character and beauty with elegance, edge or sensuality, as appropriate.

Recently I have embarked on a new profession which sometimes requires me to travel about the southeastern region and somewhat beyond documenting potential sites for some segments of the movie industry. This enables me to locate amazing settings for my photography, even allows me to cover the expenses. I will parlay this opportunity into an valuable asset to enhance my models' experience while also providing them the additional potential for broader exposure to a closely related industry.

I am a mature 70 years of age, father of two and grandfather of three. My values dictate that I respect, protect, and cherish my friends and associates. It is my privilege to work with people who share my interests and I enjoy converting them into friends when possible. I am not wildly interested in escorts having had little success in concentrating on composition with someone who does not fit into the photographer-model/subject-equation, but I am willing to make exceptions when it seems totally necessary to attract a model that is so exceptional or is absolutely and indispensably perfect for the project at hand.

I have no problem with hair and makeup professionals who are experienced working photo shoots. Although I prefer working with available light I sometimes need lighting technicians, and require them to be as transparent as possible while working their magic.

I may be reached at 770-630-0429, Leave a message if I don't answer as I am often in meetings and respect those present enough not to interrupt important business. I will return calls as promptly as possible. Email ([email protected])

Thanks for looking in.
