My name is Sharon Gomes, I am a recent graduate of the Comprehensive Makeup Artist Program at Complections College of Makeup Art and Design; an intense six months of training in the art of professional makeup application for film, television, fashion, theatre, casualty, etc.

I reccently decided to reinvent my career as I was not happy as a marketing specialist anymore. I started looking for my passion within and realized that it was makeup... I have been fascinated with all aspects of makeup ever since I was a child.

I am the last of 12 siblings (5 brothers and 7 sisters) and I remember when I was 8 years old, sneaking into the bathroom at school to apply makeup, knowing that if any of my older brothers or sisters saw me I would be in serious trouble with my parents, but I ddn't care... God forbid I forgot to wipe off the mascara before going home! This passion has followed me into adulthood. I am constantly browsing the cosmetics section of the local drugstore or supermarket, always being pulled by some invisible force that keeps calling me to check out the new merchandise or stock up on some old ones.

Over the years I have forced myself on all my family members for one occasion or another, dying to try out a new brand, colour or technique... thankfully they somehow always let me, until I didn't have to force myself anymore, they have actually been requesting my services over the last two years, I guess they liked what I was doing.

I am especially fascinated with makeup for film and television, and hope that I can build a lasting and successful career in this field over the next five years. I would be happy to work on any projects involving straight or fx makeup for film or television so if you have a project in mind please give me a call.... I can work anywhere within the GTA and am willing to travel further out if the project merits it. I am also available for beauty/fashion makeup projects.
