My name is Tina Pham and I am an inspiring makeup artist with a focus on skin care and anti-aging regimes. I believe that with great skin, beautiful makeup will come naturally to any model. There are tons of anti-aging products and solutions out there but prolong skincare and an early start is key to preventing any unwanted anti-aging features. I struggle with acne with every waking moment of my life but the skin that I have available and untarnished by pimples is extremely well taken care. I avoid the sun at all cost, yup no tans for me! I apply moistures and retina A daily to even out my skin tone and erase any fine lines. I started really getting into makeup about 5 years ago. I turned on YouTube and saw an Asian American Vietnamese girl, Michelle Phan, do makeup and I fell in love. I went to my local Sephora and spent $50 on my very first personalized bare mineral makeup kit. That was the beginning of my makeup obsession. Over the years, I would watch more YouTube videos; buy more makeup and practice on myself. After doing makeup on myself, I wanted to challenge myself. I asked my roommates if I could transform them and they loved it. It became an activity for me. I would apply makeup to my roommates and they would report back to me how many compliments or makeup related questions they got that night. It blossomed into an addiction. My makeup collection grew and my thrust for knowledge about the industry grew along with it. Growing up, I was always part of the nail and hair salon industry. My mom was a bridal makeup artist in Vietnam but she did not continue with it after coming to America. Until now, I have always kept my obsession very local. A friend of mine told me to join model mayhem to connect to individuals with the same interest as me and find networking opportunities. During these rough economic times, only education in the craft that you love, your passion to connect to the world and your drive to move forward will carry you beyond your imagination. On this website, I am excited to be an inspiration for others as well as receive inspiration. A picture is always worth a thousand words and a better teacher than a textbook.
