Michele Cornwell - Photographer

Michele started taking photographs by taking pictures of her children. She wanted to create more than snapshots and record memories.
She continued developing her artistic eye when she moved to Shanghai with her husband and two daughters and traveled the Far East for a couple years. She once had her pictures confiscated by Chinese army soldiers as she tried to take their picture.
Upon moving back to Michigan, Michele began taking classes to improve her photographs. She became a member of several area photo clubs including Royal Oak Photography Club, Smug Mug - Detroit, Rochester Photography Workshops, and recently joined the Lapeer Art Association. She believes in giving back to the community and has been a volunteer photographer with Robofest Robotics Competition and at the Michigan Senior Olympics.
She has had her photographs published in several newspapers.
Michele has been a photographer for about 15 years and has lived in Michigan most of her life - including Lapeer since 2005.
She continues to develop her photographic skills shooting a variety of subjects including nature, rural, urban, kids, and animals.
She is the owner of Aurora Imagery with her fantastic husband.
