Essence Jones is a highly talented master cosmetologist and makeup artist. Her talents started at the early age of 9, when her mother taught her how to braid for the first time. By the age of 12, she was making money for her highly skilled braiding techniques amongst her friends as well as clients. When Essence turned 16 years old she started experimenting on cutting her own hair and as well as her family members. She learned various cutting techniques by watching the local stylist at her neighborhood salon. Essence Jones is a graduate of Empire Beauty School, where she found her love and passion for makeup artistry. Once Essence learned more than just the basics of makeup, she started working as freelance makeup artist. She has learned various makeup techniques such as special effects, bridal makeup, and editorial, etc. She is now the owner and operator of Elegance de L'essence, located in Decatur, G.A. Essence continues to take her career to the next level. She has worked with models and actors/actresses. She has had the opportunity to showcase her work at several photo shoots, web TV shows, hair shows, and educational events. Beauty is her life, and Essence believes that she can bring out everyone’s infinite beauty one client at a time.
