Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, I worked for and managed 3 different camera stores.
I owned my own photographic studio, specializing in portraits and weddings for almost 10 years.
In the early 1990’s I became a US Naval photographer focusing on official portraits, but continued to shoot weddings and personal portraits. I designed complete photo labs and studios for the Navy, as well as developed and maintained photographic curriculum for students.
Towards the later stages of my Naval career, I have done much less shooting and more teaching and digital graphics. I am familiar with most Adobe products, and extensively with PhotoShop.
Training hundreds of US Naval photographers, one cannot help but to continue learning with all the different viewpoints encountered.
Getting close to retiring from the Navy, my goal is now to increase my personal business and continue to hone my craft. It is most rewarding producing great images for a customer, as well as leading a fellow photographer on their path to realize their ideas.
I will be out in San Diego for a few more months and would love to get together with models and or photographers to shoot some fun stuff. I will be back up in Newport RI in the summertime.
