Hi! I am Kristen, a self-taught freelance makeup & hair artist. Since as far back as I can remember I have had a passion for all things beauty. Growing up I was always giving friends and family makeovers and then that turned into me getting actual jobs for high school/college formals and weddings. I graduated from college in 2006, taught elementary school, and was still taking hair and makeup jobs on the weekends. In 2011, I decided to resign as a teacher and follow my passion as a makeup artist. I created my own small business as an on site freelance artist: On the go Beauty Studio.

Over the past ten years the majority of the jobs I have done are special occasion hair and makeup. I have also worked with some local photographers to create looks for model portfolios, pinup/boudoir shoots, high school senior portraits, and other family portrait style sessions.

My skill set varies from natural, fresh faced makeup to bold high fashion looks. I use quality products that are made for HD cameras. I offer airbrush and traditional makeup.

I joined Model Mayhem to network with other professionals who could use my services, and also to meet and be inspired by other makeup artists. I would love to work on an editorial style shoot to expand my portfolio and grow as an artist. Another goal of mine is to work on set for tv or film.
