ColorScapes™ (aka Colored Bodyscapes™) is an ongoing project of Robert D. Ashby, (MM#1910976). The project developed from a different photoshoot that required setting lights up individually and by groups, which resulted in images that inspired Mr. Ashby to pursue this "style" further.

The project now involves shooting a variety of models, in order to get a variety of "bodyscapes", and incorporate a variety of lighting, colors, and even throw in some other special effects. One of the main goals is to get everything "in camera" with no use of Photoshop, except to get rid of unwanted backgrounds whenever unable to eliminate due to space and/or other lighting.

Photoshoots take place at a variety of locations, from in the studio to small hotel rooms, such as the one in Paris, France. They also use a variety of lighting, not just studio strobes, so creativity becomes key with many "improv" scenarios.
