After spending nearly three years as a National Baseball Columnist for ESPN.com I recently made a daring leap and began navigating myself toward the modeling industry. I've modelled for street-brand clothing lines in the past just to make a few extra bucks but, as of not too long ago, have decided that the business screams "career" to me more than any other field. What's most appealing is the ability to be as personal as personal gets, all while truly being yourself, whether it's while getting shot by a photographer, wearing clothes that you look good in or what have you, and additionally, get the opportunity to be around and meet some pretty amazing people, the people with golden handshakes and ever-flowing, jaw-dropping opportunities that'll keep the ball rolling.

I hope that Model Mayhem nets me a few modeling gigs and am thoroughly interested to see what's in store.
