My name is Pauahi Akuna and I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I just recently moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career as a make-up artist.

I became very interested in make-up when I started working as a color consultant at Sephora in Waikiki, Hawaii. During my time at Sephora, I was given many opportunities to collaborate with other artists. I participated in various fashion shows, photo shoots and weddings.

I would say that my style is very modern glam. I want to work in fashion, runway and on tv. I aspire to work with celebrities on the red carpet, in movies, tv shows, etc.

In the next year, I would like to focus on building my portfolio and getting as much experience as possible. I want to collaborate with models and photographers to do photoshoots that we all can benefit from. I would also like to assist other make-up artists with more experience than myself.

A personal goal of mine is to be able to travel the world and work only as a make-up artist to support myself.
