I first fell in love with photography while deployed to Iraq. It was during my two week R&R in Japan when I walked into an electronics shop in Akihabara (Tokyo's "Electric Town") and purchased my first Nikon DSLR camera.

After taking a few art and photography courses at my university, racking up countless hours off online tutorials and shooting thousands of images, I accepted my first photography job. At the time I did not feel that I was good enough to charge money for my pictures so I offered to do the job for free. After I worked on those pictures I realized that I had a lot to learn but at the same time I was excited about being able to capture life's fleeting moments for others to enjoy.

I began training with a photography company in Honolulu shooting weddings for them while improving my lifestyle portfolio on my time off.
