For years, I have been a part of the arts scene. I have created exquisite works of art with my hands and stone and also on my art canvas. Now I am tying my artistic ability with a paint brush and materials with the ability to create art with a comb and shear. In the beauty industry this artistry is closely related.
Hair styling and makeup artistry is my passion. I have been passionate about hair & makeup since the age of 9, and I have been continuously building upon the skill I’ve learned in youth over the past 15 years. I am currently a student at the Aveda Institute, where I am studying cosmetology. Everyday I am improving upon my skill and knowledge of the beauty industry. I have learned various hair and makeup techniques that I have adapted easily.
I independently do makeup for photo shoots. This includes; weddings, special events/parties, and the stage. I have been a part of DC fashion week 2013, and participated in various fashion shows in the city. My most resent accomplishment is my position as the head makeup artist for Aveda’s La Femme fashion show 2013. This fashion show is a combination of fashion, performance art and Avant Garde! My role is to designate my diversified follow staff and students distinct looks for each model. I have the responsibility to apply all of the initial makeup and distinguish what look I want recreated. I will also be assisting with the costume designs and the creation of some of the hair pieces and accessories used in the show. I am an artist with a vision for beauty, simplicity, and Avant Garde! I am looking to connect with other professionals to help expand and network to come together and make great art work together.
