My name is Igor Masin and I’m based in northern Italy. Born in January ’86, in my early years i developed a passion for technology and everything that was mechanical. At the age of 4 I was taking clocks apart and messing up my brother’s collection of toy cars. A few years later, following my brother’s passion I started painting and it became clear to my school teachers that this is what i should do in the future, pushing me towards an artistic highschool. But since I am quite stubborn i went for a mechanical highschool, graduated, worked for a few years in the automotive industry and am now employed in a company making industrial refrigeration plants. A few years ago I borrowed a Canon EOS 450D and the artistic path of my life that had been cut off at the age of 14 came back to life. After a few weeks i got myself a 500D and kept it for 3 years, studying over the web and taking thousands of shots. A year ago i felt that something had to change, and upgraded to a 60D with a few off camera flashes and new objectives and started taking pictures for Stock photography. My passion for technology and programming helped me in setting up various rigs and electric circuits to trigger the camera or the flashes.
