Hello! I'm a figurative artist about to return to Ontario, Canada after some time spent studying in France and I'm looking for models to continue building my portfolio. I paint traditional, realistic portraits & figures from life (and photographs in a pinch!)

I've been painting professionally for 8 years, but have spent the last 3 years studying at a private art studio, working from life models 6 hours a day.

I'm a list person, so I present to you a list of what I'm looking for and what I do!

1. I'm looking to work from both nude and clothed models, and do both full figure and portrait work. I'm open to painting anyone, but with one caveat - a few tattoos for nude modelling are fine but too many obscures the skin (not a judgment on tattoos, but I love the colours found naturally in skin). Aside from that, all humans are beautiful & fascinating and I'd like to work with you.

2. Longer-term gigs - if I'm working on a painting or drawing, I may want to work with you over the course of several weeks. I will do some work from photos, but the more I can work from life, I will.

3. I pay. If you're willing to sit still for me for 3-6 hours at a time, I am going to pay you for that. Actual fees will be negotiated on a per project basis.

4. I take my work and your work seriously, and I will act professionally and expect the same from you - timeliness from you, and a sane, organized and respectful working environment from me. Life drawing sessions are timed and you get regular breaks.

5. I'm happy to work with any experience level, as long as you're willing to show up on time and handle feedback well - in life drawing, pose checks will be called, and all I ask for is a professional attitude. (Drama queens will be shown the door.)
