About Me

Owen Kelly was born in Birkenhead, England, and lives in Helsinki, Finland.

He has worked as a community artist, cultural consultant, computer trainer and web designer, and is the author of several books, chapters and reports including Community, Art & The State (1984), and Digital Creativity (1995).

Currently he lectures in online media at Arcada, a university of applied science, while pursuing doctoral research at Aalto University. His research seeks to explore the often undiscussed pedagogical implications of immersive simulation and virtuality.

He is an active member of the board of Pixelache, and his personal web site can be found somewhere on the internet
