My name is Vincent Blasco and I am a creative.

I've been an art photographer for 14 years, and after a lifetime of landscapes, art, and architecture, I am finally starting to shoot people. I shoot a very classic style of portrait and I enjoy recreating eras through photography. I shoot about 80% of my work in B&W; often with film, but sometimes with my Leica Monochrom where digital is appropriate. My idols, in terms of portraiture, are Yousuf Karsh and Vivian Maier. I'm committed to authenticity and, when appropriate, I will use period correct technology (film and view cameras) to assure that the effect is complete.

I have, at my disposal, a network of costume designers and makeup artists and I am able to organize very complicated shoots. I've mostly worked with amateur models and am interested in getting in contact with more experienced talent. I find I am spending too much time during shoots teaching my subjects how to model.
