At age 10 I picked up my first camera and began shooting images in my backyard of spiders and flowers. I would walk around the suburban neighborhood in Australia I grew up in for hours taking pictures of all the strange people I would see. At age 13 I moved to Beijing, China and was exposed to a whole new world of subject matter. However, my passion for subjective photojournalism was sparked in 2008 when I first travelled to Lhasa, Tibet. Such widespread oppression against such a peaceful culture, such strength and faith in such a horrific situation. This moving experience gave me the determination to make images that capture true emotion. In 2012 I moved to San Francisco to pursue a newfound love for fashion and fine art imagery. It is since then I have crafted conceptual high fashion shoots for local designers, explored my own styling for art and finessed my lighting skills at the Academy of Art University. I am constantly looking for fresh faces to shoot and firmly believe Model Mayhem will be a great opportunity for me to connect with models and MUA's within the community.
