I studied art at the Kansas City Art Institute in the late 80s-early 90s and have been a professional painter ever since. My work is primarily from observation and nearly always figurative.

I do not take requests for particular painting styles and rarely will take commissioned gigs. I do not work from photographs. I prefer to work one-on-one without restraint and with total freedom to explore the visual opportunities between myself and the subject.

My reasoning for creating this profile is not to be hired to paint, but rather to hire others to model for me. However, if you have an interest in hiring me to paint you or another person, I may consider it.
