A graduate of St Martin’s, London, I live and paint in Devon - on the edge of Dartmoor. My practice resonates with classic traditions of figurative art - using the female nude and landscape - whilst retaining a modern approach that is both authentic to the subject matter and grounded in contemporary mark making.

I had a career in the fashion industry for many years as an art director and designer, working at the top end with beauty clients all over the world. I had a great time, but sold my agency a few years ago in order to follow my love of art.

When I paint figures I look for the natural beauty of the individual, the lines, textures and emotion. My paintings are honest and I love working with people who can bring their perspective to a project - it'a always a collaboration.

I pay for my models in line with RAM rates and cover travel expenses. Work in exchange for digital files/prints of finished paintings can be agreed. Most models pose for a photographic session of about 2-4 hours and then I develop the painting from there. Sometimes I will work with the model all the way through to the final painting.

I've been a prize winner in a number of art competitions including the South West Academy Summer Show 2013 and exhibited in various galleries from London to Scotland and Portugal. Current available work can be seen on my website.
