I have always struggled with being plus size. In a society where how you look defines how successful you may be, I was extremely intimidated. Then... one day... I faced those fears and stood in front of a camera. It was like the photographer saw past the misconception that beauty is a size 2, and saw me for the beautiful and strong woman that I am on the inside. With the new body positivity movement out there, I feel like being a plus size, alternative model, will allow me to add to the momentum. I want to be a role model for any girl who has ever felt different or like an outcast because she doesn't fit into what's on the cover of Cosmo. I'm looking to build my portfolio, and would to help other strong, independent female entrepreneurs do the same. I also had an awesome opportunity to be published in a Special Edition of Missy/Ink magazine along side other beautiful and amazing ladies.
