My name is Ted Ndinya and I'm a semi professional tennis player living in Boston MA. I'm originally from Kenya and have been living in USA for 10 years. I have been in the modeling and acting industry for about a year now. During the recovery time from a major surgery last year after a spleen explosion that nearly took my life away, a friend of mine saw an advertisement on Facebook about a tv commercial and told me to try auditioning. Having no experience or training prior to that, I had nothing to lose and decided to do it just so as to have something to do. To my surprise, I got the role! and that was the birth of a passion that I had no idea I had to begin with. I took acting classes over the summer so as to have some skills and training and went for more auditions and now just a year later, I have featured in speaking roles in a handful of short and indie movies. After several persuasion from family and friends to try modeling as well after seeing what I was capable of, I decided to go for it too and right away got cast for print for a 2015 calendar. I feel so grateful and privileged to be alive and I really love the new direction that my life has taken and I believe this is just the beginning. When life gives you a lemon, you turn it into lemonade and that is exactly what I did. If I was to stop doing everything in my life right now and just focus on one thing, acting/modeling would be it.
