I am a photographer, cinematographer, and musician living between London and Paris, originally hailing from Iraq and Cuba. I was born 96% blind, which gives me approximately 5ft of effective vision, with no colour perception and massive sensitivity to light. Put simply, I rely very little on my vision when creating my photographs or videos, and focus more on the interactions and emotions that make a moment beautiful. This allows for my visual work to hold a very different fundamental sentiment to the work of the conventional photographer. I have no interest in photographing the perfect aesthetic amalgamation of what is currently desirable, my goal when creating a picture is to express as honestly as possible the atmosphere, the message, the emotions and the essence created by the situation and the subject.

I have photographed fashion for i-D, Dazed and Confused, Tank, and Hunger magazines, shot music videos for many artists as well as my own band The Shades, in which I hold the roles of singer and guitarist, and regularly cover London and Paris Fashion Weeks. I have photographed campaigns, lookbooks, catalogues and shows for commercial and independent designers, and regularly shoot tests.
