My passionate affair with the camera began in Prague in 1999 when I first realized that magic can be made with this light bending technology.
I moved to Paris to study drama, film and visual arts for five years, absorbing the deeply sensual and often philosophical insights into photography that are characteristically French.

A move to London in 2010 led me deeper into filmmaking, and I graduated from the MET film school in 2012 with a firm comprehension of the technical and aesthetic principals of both film and still photography.
During the past few years I worked steadily in several large studio film productions, profiting from the opportunity to watch modern masters at work on both sides of the camera, and honing my own sensitivity to the importance of detail and the limitless potential for imaginative story telling in both moving and still images.

I have too been the subject of many still photographs, and I am acutely aware of the fact that mere technical knowledge is not enough to create a meaningful image. The ever-expanding technology is fascinating, and I enjoy keeping up with every advance and pushing the new tools to their limits.

But in the end, the camera is only a tool. It is the eye and soul of the artist that fashion the light into true magic.
