Rachael Sheehan Biography
Click slide, click slide, my thumb pushes the film through the camera. As I grow, so does this art form. When I was young I went from scuffed knees and elbows in the backwoods of West Virginia to growing up faster than I should have. My experience in photography has given me the tools to strive for greatness. While my time at Shepherd University shaped my eye for the fine art aspect of the medium, studying at The Art Institute of Washington-Dulles has enabled me to develop my commercial techniques. While this merging of genres has prompted me to pursue a wide array of photographic work, my primary focus is fine art portraiture. I am particularly interested in the female form and portraying its simultaneous strength, beauty and sensuality. I want to continue learning all of the aspects of photography so I can share what I have seen with everyone.
