About Me

Hi, my name is Barnia (Barney) Scruggs. I am an experienced photographer, designer, retoucher and digital artist living in the middle Tennessee area.

After years of working for other studios, I created Safari Studios Adventures In Photography, a home-based art/photography studio where I combine art and photography to create unique images for commercial and individual uses. My portfolio can be viewed at www.SafariStudioAdventures.com.

"Safari" means "journey" in Swahili, and during my life's journey I have been able to discover and capture beautiful images. Being a digital photographer allows me to design, capture and manipulate images that result in a final image that may not exist or be possible in the natural world.

Model Mayhem allows me to network with other creative people (models and make-up artists) to explore and discover new adventures on this safari. So, grab your khakis, pith helmet and sunscreen...let's create some images!!
