I came over to Canada from New Zealand on January 6th 2015. A little bit of background information on my life, Back in 2002 till 2010 I worked for a company called Tiwai Aluminium Smelter, for years I thought this was going to be my life till I die until I took a good look at myself and asked, what do I really wanna do? looking around seeing the guys that have worked there for over 30 years and how sad they had become, their moral at a all time low yet they refuse to leave simply because the money was too good and they had nothing else they could do. So I finally made the call to take a risk and leave that job and go back to study...this was a huge challenge for me as I had been out of school for some time, in the end I got my degree in Sports science and started up my own personal training company called Fortitude Training Systems. A year after starting my new business I wanted to take another risk by applying for a working visa to Canada after finding out the cut of age was 18-35 years old. I said to myself before coming to Canada I would love to try something completely different in life, I no longer wanted to personal train and wanted to move onto bigger and greater things! mum always said I should be an actor as I was able to act out different characters and change my voice to sound like cartoon characters, she also said I should be a model, but I think all mums look at their children in that way. Anyway here I am taking my next risk hoping to become somebody! I always say to people I want to be remembered... I want to be buried 6 feet under for when people walk past my grave they know who I am, they pay tribute and tell great stories about me in other words I wanna die a legend! since finally believing in myself and taking that first risk I now believe anything is possible! all I need is that one person to give me that chance...
