I started playing organized baseball at the age of fourteen, later than most kids today. In high school, as an outfielder on the Dorsey HS varsity team, a pitcher from the L.A. Dodgers threw batting practice. He told my coach that I was a good hitter. Although I played some in college, injuries forced me to turn to art, which was preceded by a failed attempt at standup comedy.
