I grew up as a little girl outside of Chicago running around my grandmother's fabric shop gazing at the rainbows of colors and touching every bolt of silk I could get my hands on. This playful pastime turned into learning how to sew, and fueled a desire to create things with these materials. Now ninety-six years old, my grandmother still enjoys sharing her wisdom about how best to sew velvets and what tensions I should be using to work with sheers.

We share a love of vintage fabrics, and I use many of her materials in my work. I have always sewn for myself and once I moved out to California and began working with other designers and artists, my creativity as aspirations have bloomed. I want to be part of the MM community in order to collaborate with photographers, stylists, other designers, models, and make beautiful images together!
