About the Artist
She began her early career as a wedding planner for Villa Renata, formerly known as The Bella Terrazza, a very popular Mediterranean style venue located in the Houston Galleria area. She worked intimately with hundreds of brides behind the scenes on their wedding day helping them to successfully execute their ceremonies and receptions. She also coordinated weddings for La Colombe d’Or Mansion, The Parador, The Paraissio Maravilla, The Crystal Ballroom, The Houston Polo Grounds, The River Oaks Garden Club and the Magnolia Ballroom.

Following her passion for makeup and a need for a more creative outlet, Melanie accepted a beauty analyst position with Chanel Cosmetics where she received professional skin care and makeup training from the Chanel House of Beauty and Makeup School. As an ambassador for Chanel, Melanie gained real world, hands on experience and enjoyed consulting with clients and brides about their skin and how to enhance their appearance through proper makeup application. Melanie is a self taught makeup artist and has expanded her knowledge and experience by working with some of the industry's most reputed beauty brands, including Chanel, Dior, Laura Mercier, YSL, NARS, La Metie de Beaute, and Dolce & Gabanna. Her work has been featured in the 2013 Health & Fitness magazine.

Melanie has a creative flair for bridal makeup and loves working with brides. "Bridal makeup is a special type of makeup practice that requires additional steps to everyday makeup. For weddings, I always reserve and use my favorite, luxury couture brands on my clients. Dior, Chanel, YSL, NARS, La Mer, Laura Mercier, Sisley & La Metie De Beaute are just a few favorites my bridal clients enjoy. After all, it is a wedding, the bride should have only the crème de la creme on her wedding day!
