Hi, my name is Lauren Metzler

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I spent my childhood hiking nearby waterfalls, swimming in local rivers, and wandering the hidden forest trails…and always with a camera in hand! My earliest memory is playing in the wilderness, tracking deer through the old growth pine trees, skipping rocks across the dry riverbeds and searching for hidden faerie homes amongst the tiny ferns and toadstools. This is where my passion for photography began. I loved to make up little narratives with my photography and tell stories with my camera. Before long, I fell in love with capturing those special moments in people’s lives, telling their stories in a unique and creative way.

I love to share people’s stories, to share their light, laughter, and love. Those fleeting moments and small details that become the defining moments of our lives. That look you give your bride to be right before she says “I do”, that moment your new husband’s eyes light up when he sees you walking down the aisle, and all the beautiful moments in between.

I’m based in Australia and the USA – and love to travel anywhere in between!
