About Me

My name is James and I am from Sierra Leone a country in West Africa. At the early age of 10 years old I aspired to be a bodybuilder because I idolized my uncle who was a bodybuilder. He was and has been my idol and inspiration for bodybuilding and fitness. In 2009, at the age of 15 I moved to Australia to have a better life and a new beginning from my upbringing in Africa. Australia was a new environment and culture to me that required me to adapt. I was skinny teenager weighing only 58kg when I entered the country and I always asked myself how I am going to become a bodybuilder how am I going to be like my uncle. Since I could not afford a gym I started doing push-ups in the morning when I woke up and again at night before I went to bed. I started to see the hard work pay off as my chest became more defined. When I had the chance at age 18, I joined a local gym which changed my life. I became very motivated to change my physique and my life through working out and good nutrition. I not only aspired to be a bodybuilder but to also become a legend in the fitness industry. My friends laughed and teased me saying I could not do it but I continued on. I kept saying to myself “keep on laughing, while I make gains”. As a result of my friends laughter I started training at the gym late at night so no one would see me. I wanted to prove my friends wrong and make the perfect physique which has been my mission and goal for the last few years. I competed in my first bodybuilding competition in 2015 and came in 4th place which for me was a victory and proof that I could become a bodybuilder like my uncle. I believe and feel that champions aren’t made in the gym but are made in something deep down inside them, a desire, a dream, a goal. My dream, desire, and goal is to be known in the fitness industry as a class “A” model and bodybuilder but also inspiration to kids in Sierra Leone that they can make their dreams come true.
