UPDATE:  January 2022.  Well, life changes a lot.  Sold my house and studio and pool.  Sold my lights.  Downsized dramatically.  Haven’t shot in a long time, but would like to start back up.  I’m doing a lot of sports photography right now. 
I have access to a large area of land where I can shoot outdoor nudes.  I am just northwest of Decatur, Tx (30 miles from Fort Worth).  More later!

Hello, my name is John, and I like to shoot photos.



I've been dabbling in photography since I was in junior high.  I bought my first camera in 7th grade (a Yashica Point and shoot 35mm, back in 1971).  I've just started back into digital photography, and am looking to expand by working with models.  I am especially interested in working with outdoors shots, or nude and natural if you will.  I also enjoy shooting concerts.


I would love to work with experienced models who can help me as I learn.  TFCD/DVD, TFP negotiable.  Can offer meal allowance and travel allowance.  Indoor or outdoor work, evenings or weekends.

I've recently upgraded to digital, although I still shoot some 35mm film, especially nature shots.


Finally got my lights, and I'm slowly learning the intricacies of lighting subjects.  So far, I like what I'm seeing. (Sold lights a few years back.  Oops!)

I have a few ideas of scenes that I would like to shoot, depending on the feel of the model.  I'm also interested in hearing what the model feels would be a good shoot.  After all, we are working together to collaborate on some great art.

I prefer models with no makeup.  Your natural beauty is what I want to see.

Would love to work with nudes, partial nudes, swimwear, or just sexy wear (if you feel its sexy, then its sexy).  Props are always welcome, and encouraged.  My wife will be on the shoot as my assistant and stylist, and your significant other is always welcome (and encouraged) to attend.  (And if your SO wants to join the shoot… I’m certainly open to that)

**NUDES:My goal is not the production of nudes alone.  There is more to life and art than the nude.  I will only discuss nudes with models whom I know pose nude.  If you're a nude art model, please let me know and perhaps we can work together.  I'm hoping to connect with more art nude models who possess confidence, freedom and experience; and those who understand what expression of form and line in the human body is about, and who know the difference between art and pornography.


**ESCORTS:
Escorts are always welcome to shoots for your comfort and safety.  In fact I prefer escorts, studios or group shoots for everyone's safety and comfort. I only ask that you don't bring an escort who tries to hijack the shoot, or one who will be a distraction.

**COPYRIGHT:
Full copyright of all work is retained by the artist (photographer), per US copyright law, unless otherwise stipulated in a mutually agreed upon arrangement via special model release.  I provide release/permission to models to print and reprint images from shoots (provided via email or CD/DVD) and for digital portfolios of course.

**IMAGES & EDITS:
Models are not granted all "raw" photos from shoot. I only provide the best images in a final edit form, including hi-res images suitable for your printing needs and matching web-optimized images for digital portfolios.  Models are also not permitted to edit photos derived from our shoots. 

**MINORS:
Fashion shoots and portraiture only;
Only with parental/guardian consent;
Parent/guardian must be available to attend shoot.
