Schanica Pickens DBA Schanica Pickens Beauty is born and raised in Queens, NY.
Most recently, Ms. Pickens was inspired to pursue Make-up Artistry by way of a photoshoot at Cedric Wooten Photography Makeup Artist. The gentle touch, professionalism and creativity allowed me to soul search. I asked the artist several questions, she answered and the light bulb went off. I had an epiphany! I found myself reflecting on my mother's artistic skillset and creativity, which in turn, encouraged me to step outside of myself and embark on the journey of Make-up Artist, where I studied under the phenomal Miss Evelyn (PETRA ALEXANDRA, INC. Beauty School- The Fine Art of Makeup, Brooklyn, NY), a British born make-up artist who migrated to the United States.

There's is nothing more exciting than carrying out my mother's creativity! Also, being able to transfer beauty from within outwards.
