About Me

I moved to Vancouver from Toronto about 6 month ago for a job at a new video game studio. I miss all the local art galleries, burlesque shows, alternative life drawing events, and general indie art scene back in my home city. However, rather than keep complaining about it, I decided to try starting my own art events. Right now I'm starting with alternative life drawing events similar to Dr Sketchy and Toons on Tap.

Essentially, it's people meeting at a bar or pub to sketch live models in cosplay and costume instead of nude. Events like this have became very popular with animation and game design students in the last few years. I'm on model mayhem looking for art models, burlesque performers and cosplayers to model at events. Message me here or my e-mail [email protected] if you are interested. I have over 10 years of experience in 2D/3D animation for gaming, television and feature film. I have five years of experience as Project Leader in digital media; including Art Director, Technical Director, and Lead Layout artist. I started my education as a Fine art painting major at Queen’s University. After Queens, I was accepted to the world renowned 3D animation program at Sheridan College. I graduated Sheridan in 2006 with the goal of working on either a real video game, television show or movie as a 3D animator. In a two years I had done all three. I was given the opportunity to work on:
- Triple-A video game production at Electronic Arts. Need for Speed ProStreet (2007)

- Lead 2D/3D Animator and Layout Artist on an Academy Award nominated foreign short film

- Lead Animator and Technical Director on an animated series Spaceballs: the animated series (2007-2008). The show was syndicated on Spike network in USA and TeleToon in Canada. I began as a Flash Animator, however I was promoted to Technical Director and Lead Background Artist for the last four episodes of season one.
