Hello! I am Brittany Butler, it’s so nice of you to show an interest in me. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and then you can decide if I am the photographer for you.

My father started a photography business almost 30 years ago. Growing up in a house surrounded by cameras makes for some fun times. This was my environment through my early years. I then started to really focus on modeling and just loved it! Having someone style my hair, perfect my make-up, capture stunning photos of me… It was exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time! Most of all, it has given me a perspective that no class or mentor could have taught me.

When I transitioned over to the “other” side of the camera, I found that there was something that set my photography apart from others. I can see images not only as a photographer, but also as a model. I have been where you are standing, I know what you are looking for, and I love being able to give that to you. As a model, I know that my best images are from the photographers who I connected with, who laughed with me, who made me feel beautiful on camera and off. As a photographer, that is why I make it a point to meet with you in person before we take any pictures and then to text and call you often to keep the relationship growing. By the end of our sessions, I am hoping we will be friends for life.

As both a model and photographer, I know that being different and unique is not only important to you, but encouraged. Sometimes you just need to stretch yourself a little bit more. This is the reason why I decided to focus on underwater photos. Underwater photography is challenging and magical all at the same time. While working on a major project for a high school pool fundraiser, I learned that sometimes you just need to take the plunge and try something new. Underwater photos have become some of the most fun I’ve had while photographing. It’s more about the experience, the amazing photos are just an added bonus. Plus who doesn’t love spending a day in the pool!
