Hi, and welcome to my small part of the world. I'm an astrophysics major that started taking pictures of deep space objects some time ago. I figured joining an observatory and learning early on would give me an edge before going to college. After a few years it became apparent that the camera could also be used to photograph mundane objects, a little closer to home. So I shifted the challenge from bringing out the familiar in the extraordinary, to bringing out the extraordinary in the familiar, and I've been enjoying it.

I love mountains, animals, people and light, preferably at least two sunlights. As my former hobby involved a lot of digital signal management, I'm easily drawn to the technical challenge of reaching inside the data, and pulling out the best image that I can from my gear. The experience I have leaves me with little worry about how my images are going to look when processed. Photography is a passion and I hope to grow and be able to share the beauty that I see.

The reason for my ModelMayhem account is to find more models to work with. I'm a student so all my collaborations will have to be on a time for print basis unless there's something really extraordinary going on.
