Hello, my name's Alanna Baker, I'm 24 years old and from West Sussex, England. For the past 4 years I have been working for Cirque Du Soleil, touring Australia, Japan, and North America. In addition to my role as an acrobatic character, I have just debuted a solo act on Cerceau (aerial hoop).

Prior to "running away with the circus", I competed for the British Squad in Acrobatic Gymnastics. Some of my competition credits include being named European Champion in 2011 and Bronze medalist at the 2012 World Championships. As part of my cross training for gymnastics, I practiced in various dance styles such as modern, ballet, tap, and contemporary.

As well as working for Cirque, I've had the honor of performing at events as a hand balancer and contortionist in both England and Hong Kong.

Being a professional acrobat involves an immense amount of discipline, athleticism, and dedication. Due to the training regime I had to follow, I became more and more interested by fitness aspect to my job. I love being able to challenge myself in different ways outside of my typical work space and see the results I have been able to achieve. I have recently decided to begin training for fitness competitions later in the year as well as continue touring with Cirque.

I am fascinated by the world of fitness modelling and photography. I am mesmerized by the hybrid of being both strong and elegant, and I would love to translate my passion for fitness and live performance on to camera.
