As a childhood model, dancer, performer (age 6), I felt it was a career path I'd love to pursue at a more mature age. I returned to modelling at 17 with a contract from a local modelling agency supported by my family. As I am an ethnic mix and tall enough to cover catwalks they felt the area's assignments weren't enough to cover my stats. I then concentrated on the more technical side of things like working and studying in the fashion, hair, beauty, health industries. I obtained various qualifications and helped part time in a modelling agency as a Make-Up-Artist whilst covering the office working alongside the photographers covering Leeds and Manchester. I managed to do this whilst still studying including media skills where I obtained knowledge surrounding multimedia namely, animation, music production, photography, graphic design. I soon became familiar with most categories of modelling, working to and expecting professional standards of course. From 21+ I was selected for various assignments private and public and was specifically attractive to video and advertising work. I'm now 32 so am keen on more exposure to obtain more assignments but I do remain realistic in terms of availability and rates. I also am a model that chooses to exercise the right of choice of work and sometimes will actively work with design teams to obtain optimum outcomes. I keep myself active and try to stay current to trends but obviously live to suit myself and don't give easily to peer pressure.
