Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Kayla Germain was exposed, at a very young age, to all things beauty, fashion, and entertainment. Throughout her childhood, she developed a great appreciation for the art of makeup, which she observed everywhere from the catwalk to the movie screen.

After studying business at the University of Denver, Kayla soon realized that her life-long passion for beauty and special effects makeup was something she needed to pursue. She decided to move back to LA in order to establish and expand her new career in makeup artistry.

Kayla spent the next year and a half learning the ins and outs of the cosmetics industry while she worked as the Beauty Concierge at Nordstrom at the Americana at Brand. She eventually moved on to attend the highly esteemed Cinema Makeup School, where she studied everything from beauty, airbrushing, and hairstyling to character, prosthetics, and special effects makeup and, ultimately, graduated with a certification in Master Makeup Artistry.

Kayla plans to stay in the incredible city of Los Angeles, where she will continue to grow professionally as a beauty and special effects makeup artist.
