About Me

For commissions, send message. I will quote per image.

I have a background in make-up and hair, specially with skin correcting/ skin focused. I ventured into beauty retouching in 2013 because the market lacked retouchers with expertise in make-up. I was mentored by Mauro Martins (art director, retoucher, prestigious illustrator, https://www.behance.net/mauromartinscom). I use high end methods to correct skin, mostly dodge and burning manually to achieve smoother supple skin. I also specialize in visagism to enhance face features and symmetry with the liquify tool.

Born and raised in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, Ana Siqueira was once a psychologist - It just so happened that art made her happier - so she made this big bold move to New York City and became a make-up artist. Along the way it became necessary for her to learn how to retouch her own beauty images to a higher quality so that it kept the integrity of her work on the model's skin as well as many other make-up notions that are often overlooked by retouchers without background in beauty. In other words: she got tired of receiving "over retouched" edits and decided to use her aesthetic notions and detail oriented mindset and offer the whole team a better finished beauty image in exchange.

Currently, Ana directs and signs the art behind the fine art body painting project "Habitathos" (www.habitathos.com) works as a make-up artist and body painter for commercial and fashion in NYC - specialized in both print and film. She accepts some beauty retouching commissions from clients wanting that "most time consuming but better looking" images that have integrated the notions of face structure, coloring and brand stylistics in mind to yield eloquent imagery.

Her work is represented in São Paulo and Brasília (Brazil) by Galeria Almeida Prado. Habitathos was showed at Brazil's National Museum and it's fine art prints are available for purchase.
Ana's future goals includes expanding her personal projects, turning Habitathos into a beautiful book and finally learning how to read sheet music.
