About Me

ABOUT
-----

Hey my name is Brandon. I'm 34, married, and have two dogs. I've been doing photography for a while and am working on some projects. I began as a hobbyist with film
5 years ago. I now shoot with high quality digital equipment and professional-grade lenses. I worked at, and was trained by, a professional studio for 2 years as one of their top full-time photographers while living in TN (Pigeon Forge) and learned to shoot any full-format camera, any brand, for manual exposure. I am used to equipment that costs thousands, but am now interested in simple, mainly outdoor, work (sometimes with strobes).

But all that's boring. As for me, I'm a funny, likable guy who always smiles and is extremely polite and well-mannered. I live locally so reputation is, of course, important to me. Just doing the right thing and being nice to others makes life easy.

I primarily shoot general portraiture; families, singles, sometimes couples, and kids--I'm great with kids (I get to act like goofy without getting stares, I love it). I have a lot of tricks up my sleeves and view photography as a challenge--a puzzle waiting to be solved. What duct tape and WD-40 can't fix I assure you gaffer's tape and a Swiss Army Knife surely can (a type of grip tape used in film industry, etc).

I am fascinated with the simplest of things. I love shooting abstract or street photography for fun. I also enjoy riding motorcycles, exploring caves, and designing websites. It's been a year since I moved here, but haven't given as much focus to photography due to personal reasons. I'm in desperate need to update my long-overdue portfolio (couple years old) with *much* better work than when it was put together.

I am currently accepting TFP, time for photos, that correspond with my current projects. More about those below, but keep in mind a working friendship would be great for us both.

* Special requests and unique ideas, locations always considered *

CURRENT PROJECT(S):
-----

Urban, industrial project - seeking male/female subjects for simple shoots w/ various urban and industrial scenes i.e. brick walls, fences, handrails, staircases, etc. w/ focus on lighting and design concepts (natural and strobe concepts, color, texture, composition techniques); primarily portraiture, full body, 3/4, shoulder, and headshot portraits as needed.

Close-up project - a new portfolio project consisting of headshot portraits and shoulder-up only; male/female subjects accepted; more traditional styles and backgrounds (white, black, or possibly corporate settings).

Self-portrait - models generally not required, but may be of help if done in same location after a shoot (not required, no obligation); simply a project for myself, no other subjects needed.

NOTE: I am new to Model Mayhem as far as seeking models as subjects so if you seem sketchy or playing games don't expect to hear back. I am a happily married man w/ no desire for pornography or folks exposing genitals like something from an adult video store. I am an artist, not a perv or a pimp.

DISCLAIMER:
-----

Note: The following isn't to discourage anyone from responding, but merely just to let you know specifically what I'm _not_ interested in as I often get messages requesting the following genres.

Pornography is not "fine art" and although I don't judge those who enjoy that you should know it's just not what I am here for. In fact, some actual "boudoir" shoots don't even have much flesh in the photo at all...maybe a sweater coming off one shoulder, etc. and are simply gorgeous. But most people think it's all sexual and that is, once again, not why I'm here. I do not currently do boudoir or lingerie (it is not entirely out of question for the future, but it is not what my projects focus on). I also am not interested in guys who only take photos with their shirts off (or pants, lmao). Just pass me on by, not interested.

That said, I can dabble a little in fashion or glamour, but that's not my genre of photography (nor my strength at the moment). However, requests for these kinds of shots can be made if you are experienced at modeling for these genres (no objection to shooting these genres, just not what I professionally market to at the moment).
