About Me

Location note: moving to Hamilton, ON in 2022.

For me, successful portraits are quiet-but-powerful; pairing strength and vulnerability with an authentic expression, all of which helps create a connection with the viewer. I'm an Master of Fine Arts grad student at the University of Houston who's interested in how people are shaped by places and experiences, as well as how to expand the traditional concept of portraiture by representing people using a combination of likeness, objects and spaces.

Highly collaborative, my portrait-making process is lengthy and psychological. Intense conversation is often paired with silent reflection and visualization by the subject.
