Nací en Montevideo, y desde pequeño la fotografía nació en mí….
Mi formación inicial fue un curso de Fotografía básica, Analógica, y Laboratorio.
Y he desempeñado una intensa actividad práctica y autodidáctica.
Gracias a mi experiencia como oficial de puente en un buque español, tuve la oportunidad de navegar por el sur del Atlántico. Allí se viven meses sin poder tocar tierra. Una fuerte experiencia de convivir diariamente con situaciones únicas y diferentes. Desde una fuerte tormenta, hasta una puesta de sol.

La fauna, las diversas situaciones de vida abordo. Todo ello, despertó en mí un marcado interés por el fotoreportaje y la fotografía de paisaje.
Se conjugaron avidez y entusiasmo por investigar, aprender, y observar todo aquello relacionado con la fotografía.
A través de los años, he incursionado en diferentes estilos… siempre con una mayor preferencia hacia el retrato, la fotografía de estudio, la fotografía artística.
Constituyen asimismo mi preferencia, el fotoreportaje y el B&N.
¿Cómo percibo la fotografía? Como medio de expresión y transmisión de sentimientos.
La siento como medio de comunicación social, cultural, y sobre todo personal.
En la actualidad, realizo mi trabajo profesional como fotógrafo independiente.

Considero que el alma de la fotografía está dentro de cada uno de nosotros, donde vive y se esconde un artista latente esperando salir a la luz. Es allí que cada fotógrafo encuentra su propia e inconfundible voz, logrando revelar su pasión. La forma de componer de cada fotógrafo, su estilo, el manejo de la luz, la técnica que utiliza… las reglas que respeta, o las que desafía…

Desde muy pequeño mi mayor pasatiempo fue mirar fotografías.
Lo adoraba, Es la magia por excelencia, capaz de trasladarme a un momento determinado, revivirlo como si fuese ayer, transportarme hasta ese instante preciso. Y así también, poder ser testigo de hechos o acontecimientos de los cuales no pude serlo.
Motivan mi pasión, y finalmente mi elección por dedicarme a la fotografía el poder de atrapar un instante de luz, un instante de vida y congelarlo para siempre. Me inspira la belleza de ese instante capturado por la magia de la cámara. Tener la posibilidad de compartirlo con aquel que no pudo estar presente, aquel que no conoce ese lugar, aquel que no vivenció ese momento.

Mi intención es capturar imágenes que logren transmitir una sensación, una emoción. Ayudar a que mis modelos se sorprendan con una imagen mejor de la que poseen, e incluso desean de sí mismas. Idear y construir en conjunto un concepto único y natural, reflejar la personalidad de quien está frente a mi cámara.
Considero fundamental definir con claridad qué es lo que se quiere transmitir en el producto final, desde la preproducción, eligiendo y cuidando cada detalle, tomando en cuenta desde la motivación y el estado anímico del modelo, hasta cada detalle material de la producción a realizar.

Me parece tan valioso y fundamental; que en una imagen capturada en una película, la impresión en papel fotográfico, hasta la digitalización; puedan ser plasmados y conservados tantos momentos, recuerdos, sentimientos…
En más de una ocasión me encontré imaginando y preguntándome si sucediera la tragedia de un incendio en mi casa y tuviese el tiempo para salvar solamente una cosa: ¿qué elegiría?, ¿qué sería más valioso para mí?, ¿qué es aquello que no quisiera perder? Y sin dudarlo me hallé respondiendo: las fotografías… ese lugar donde se guarda tanta identidad de cada uno de nosotros, tanta historia…
Cada momento es único, irrepetible, cada instante irá borrándose de nuestra memoria, mezclándose los recuerdos y no se podrán recordar aquellos gestos, miradas, lágrimas, risas…

Vivimos en una época donde pueden encontrarse muchas personas con cámaras…pero pocas con la sensibilidad de comprender lo que se quiere capturar en cada imagen. Por eso, es un requisito obligatorio tener una reunión preliminar, previo a la sesión fotográfica, a fin de conocer e interpretar a cada cliente.
Personalmente, me interesa conocer a quien voy a retratar, su personalidad, su perfil, su ser que convierte a cada persona en única e irrepetible.

Thanks to my experience as a bridge officer on a Spanish vessel, I had the opportunity to navigate the South Atlantic. There they live for months without being able to touch the earth. A strong experience of living daily with unique and different situations. From a strong storm, to a sunset.

The fauna, the various situations of life on board. All this, aroused in me a keen interest in the photoreportaje and the landscape photography.
They combined greed and enthusiasm to investigate, learn, and observe everything related to photography.
Over the years, I have ventured into different styles ... always with a greater preference for portraiture, studio photography, artistic photography.
They are also my preference, the photoreportaje and the B & N.
How do I perceive the photograph? As a means of expression and transmission of feelings.
I feel it as a means of social, cultural, and above all personal communication.
At present, I do my professional work as an independent photographer.

I believe that the soul of photography is inside each one of us, where a latent artist lives and hides, hoping to come to the light. It is there that every photographer finds his own unmistakable voice, managing to reveal his passion. The way to compose of each photographer, his style, the handling of light, the technique he uses ... the rules he respects, or those that he defies ...

From an early age my biggest hobby was looking at photographs.
I adored it, It is the magic par excellence, able to move to a certain moment, to revive it as if it were yesterday, to transport me until that precise moment. And also, to be able to witness events or events that I could not be.
They motivate my passion, and finally my choice to dedicate to photography the power to catch an instant of light, an instant of life and freeze it forever. I am inspired by the beauty of that moment captured by the magic of the camera. Have the possibility of sharing it with the one who could not be present, the one who does not know that place, the one who did not experience that moment.

My intention is to capture images that manage to convey a sensation, an emotion. Helping my models to be surprised with a better image of the one they own, and even want of themselves. To design and build together a unique and natural concept, reflect the personality of who is in front of my camera.
I consider it essential to clearly define what it is that we want to convey in the final product, from pre-production, choosing and taking care of every detail, taking into account the motivation and mood of the model, to every material detail of the production to be made.

It seems so valuable and fundamental; That in an image captured in a film, the printing on photographic paper, until the digitization; Can be shaped and preserved so many moments, memories, feelings ...
On more than one occasion I found myself imagining and wondering if the tragedy of a fire in my house happened and I had the time to save only one thing: what would I choose ?, what would be more valuable for me? I would like to lose And without hesitation I found myself answering: the photographs ... that place where so much identity of each one of us, so much history is kept ...
Each moment is unique, unrepeatable, every moment will be erased from our memory, mixing memories and you can not remember those gestures, looks, tears, laughter ...

We live in an age where many people with cameras ... but few with the sensitivity to understand what you want to capture in each image. Therefore, it is a mandatory requirement to have a preliminary meeting, prior to the photo shoot, in order to know and interpret each client.
Personally, I am interested in knowing who I am going to portray, its personality, its profile, its being that makes each person unique and unrepeatable.
