Each of my artwork is a woman who takes shape in my soul, inspired by all these inner images which carry enjoyment and delight.
Shaped in clay at first, they are born from the earth to then rise above, interlaced with soft drapes which become entwined with the body movement accentuating thus motion and message. Because life is movement.

I am fascinated with fashion design and the visual universe in which it evolves since my childhood. Back then, I spent endless hours sketching with shadows and lights colorful silky cloth cascading down a feminine figure, flying ribbons, floating scarves or skirts twisting around. I wanted to bring them to life with all my might.
This early interest became the foundation for my exploration in sculpture which took place in my life shortly after I graduated as a fashion designer from Montreal’s LaSalle College in 1986.
A few years later, my career in the garment industry took me to Los Angeles, California where I lived for nearly 9 years. Back then I started attending sculpture workshops out in Brentwood because art was still what kept my inner flame alive. I learnt the basics of sculpture with Jonathan Bickart, a renowned sculptor in Los Angeles, and the magic of three dimensional art took hold of me.
My inquisitive mind and career opportunities took me to several countries where I let my artistic visions be inspired by cultures and lifestyles of different worlds. I also worked and traveled to improve my sculpture techniques from the teachings of masters in sculpture and jewelry.

In 2001, a few years following my return in hometown Laval, I put my sculpture tools down to raise my then newly born daughter and maintain my career. It became increasingly difficult to find time for artistic exploration as a single working mother. But this hiatus revealed the true face of love to me and deeply influence the artist that I am now.

Today, I spend more and more time creating in my studio located north of the Montreal area and working on promoting my artwork locally and beyond.
