About Me

My name is Jasmine McGill, I am interested in participating in fashion shows and print photo shoots in the DMV, Philadelphia, and New York area. Some goals would include updating my portfolio regularly, network and I hope to soon get signed to a new york agency. It would be best to contact me through via email, phone and social media. I am a free spirit who is very outgoing and who is willing to work hard to get things accomplished. Most importantly, I am very dedicated to the fashion industry. With that being said, lets work!

At the age of 11, fashion has played a major role in my life. Having input in my outfits as a child was important as I absolutely despised when my parents would choose my outfits for me. I felt that their style did not validate my expressions or my daily moods. From the day I started to create and express my style, I have always carried the mindset of “your clothing is a form of your self expression”. I can remember feeling so joyful and relieved that I could just be myself and not a replica of my parents or older siblings. From that point in my life, I have always prioritize a motto of “fashion first” as I carefully and creatively take time to select what form of fashion will describe my feelings for the day. Some say I spend too much time selecting my daily outfits. The first time I heard this statement, it was validation of my inner feelings that I have a sincerely have a deep interest in fashion.

My first experience that further inspired my passion and dreams for a fashion career was when I joined my High School Fashion Club. As a sophomore, I quickly learned the business to not only express my creativity through clothing designs but mastering the art and designs on the runway. As I ventured into Modeling, I quickly fell in love and expanded my understanding that art and fashion could be express in other models such as modeling. Modeling in high school events, local and national fashions shows supported and further inspired my love for fashion. Accepting this path to become a fashion model, allowed me to start a path of how I wanted to begin my fashion career.

Further into my high school years, I decided to become serious about pursuing a modeling career. My teenage years was surrounded with building up a portfolio and pursing local model calls for photo shoots and fashion shows. I remember my first fashion show at my high school was such an emotional experience for me because I felt nothing but positive energy, yet overwhelming emotions all at one time. At my first runway show, my eyes were swelling with tears as I was exiting the runway due to my excitement and passion that I was living my dreams! This was definitely a first experience and moment where all of the hard work and commitment to understand fashion to creating the designs and walking the runway.
